📍 Location: Victoria, BC (Preferred) – Remote within BC possible for exceptional candidates 💼 Type: Contract (Full-time, 3-5 months) 💲 Rate: $70–$80/hour CAD (depending on experience) 📝 Job Description We are seeking a hands-on Oracle Fusion HCM UAT Consultant with a strong quality assurance (QA) background to lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for a high-impact Oracle Cloud implementation in the public sector. This role requires more than just UAT coordination — we're looking for someone who understands test strategy, execution, and defect lifecycle management and who can bring structured QA practices into the UAT environment. You’ll work closely with business users, functional consultants, and technical teams to ensure testing is complete, traceable, and fully aligned with configured business processes. 📍Note: The client strongly prefers candidates who are based in or near Victoria, BC. Remote work within British Columbia may be considered for highly qualified candidates. 🔧 Key Responsibilities Support UAT planning, test case design, test data setup, and execution oversight Translate HR business processes into testable, real-world UAT scenarios Apply core QA principles to UAT, including traceability, coverage tracking, and structured defect management Facilitate collaboration between business SMEs, Oracle functional leads, and tech teams Participate in UAT workshops, user support, and sign-off activities Ensure defect logs are properly triaged, prioritized, and escalated Maintain clean, auditable test documentation and traceability to business requirements Report testing progress, risks, and metrics to project leadership 🎯 Ideal Candidate Profile 5+ years of experience in QA or software testing, with at least 2–4 years focused on Oracle Fusion HCM UAT Strong understanding of test lifecycle best practices (from planning through post-UAT validation) Familiar with modules like Core HR, Absence, Payroll, Recruiting Prior UAT experience in public sector or higher education is highly preferred Skilled in tools like JIRA, Oracle Test Manager, ALM, and Excel-based test tracking Strong communication and documentation skills for cross-functional coordination Located in Victoria, BC or able to work remotely from within British Columbia ISTQB certification and/or familiarity with accessibility testing (e.g., AODA, WCAG) is a plus ✅ What You’ll Gain The opportunity to support a visible public-sector transformation initiative A role that balances QA fundamentals with user-facing UAT leadership Competitive rate and BC-based remote flexibility Long-term potential for growth in Oracle Cloud and functional test delivery
