We are hiring a Senior Business Analyst – Oracle ERP to support a high-profile digital transformation project at a large public-sector client. Position Summary
The Senior Business Analyst will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, driving enterprise-wide improvements in HR, Finance, and Procurement systems. The ideal candidate is not only technically fluent in Oracle Fusion and OIC, but also brings real-world HR and payroll process knowledge and a structured, analytical approach to business process transformation.
This role is designed for a seasoned Business Analyst who can independently lead requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, process reengineering, and stakeholder facilitation. You will help ensure that enterprise systems align with business goals and deliver measurable improvements in internal service delivery and employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Act as lead Business Analyst on projects involving Oracle Fusion Finance, Procurement, and HR/Payroll modules.
Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders (HR, Payroll, Finance, IT) to gather, document, and validate business requirements.
Conduct detailed fit-gap analyses and assess current-state vs future-state processes.
Translate business needs into clear functional specifications and user stories.
Facilitate workshops and working sessions to identify pain points, define workflows, and support change adoption.
Design and document new or enhanced business processes, ensuring alignment with ERP capabilities.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents related to Oracle Fusion ERP (Finance, Procurement, FAW, OIC).
Support the implementation and optimization of Oracle Payroll, Core HR, Timekeeping (e.g., UKG), and Benefits integrations.
Build and maintain custom reports using OTBI and BI Publisher; advanced SQL is an asset.
Coordinate testing efforts and support test automation using tools like Selenium.
Develop user documentation and deliver training to HR and finance teams.
Collaborate with technical teams to support integration across platforms like PeopleSoft, Maximo, Chrome River, SuccessFactors, and CIBC.
Key Qualifications
5+ years of progressive Business Analyst experience, with a primary focus on HR, Payroll, and ERP systems.
Demonstrated experience working with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP, especially Finance, Procurement, Core HR, and Payroll modules.
Solid understanding of HR functional processes, such as employee lifecycle, payroll cycles, timekeeping, and HR compliance.
Experience with enterprise systems like PeopleSoft or SuccessFactors is highly desirable.
Strong documentation skills (BRD, FRD, process maps, data flow diagrams, etc.) and familiarity with Agile or hybrid methodologies.
Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, HR, or Business Administration. MBA or CPA designation strongly preferred.
Formal certifications such as PMP, CBAP, or Oracle Cloud Certification are considered strong assets.
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, GitHub, and related tools.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence across business and IT stakeholders.
